Pynchon, to my mind is the penultimate name-dropper, because he does it in the service of misdirection.. the use of verbal cognates ie; Varo--->Varro. If this is an interview for the public readership you should really be a little more formal in citing your references. If you want me to posit responses in relation to specific texts, it would be nice to know what that text is. Is it the Arcades Project. Or the Fantomas Novels. I found the Geert Lovink article you are referring to. Bilwets is not Melville or Goethe; Its not post-structuralism or symbolist decadence.
